I realize that I always include the elements of nature in my poems. I like the image of the sea, especially.

The Wind's Caress

Inside her heart there is an overwhelming
Sea of emotions, being compelled to
Rush out in full force,
This girl wants to break free
From the chains of the jarred
Rocks, waves splashing to and fro,
To and fro,
Running amok like disco lights
Discharging streams of light all over the
Dance floor where two star-spangled lovers
Just met, and the heavens are smiling
Because of their successful contrivance
The only thing that makes sense
In her world are the echoes of the wind,
From the splashing waves of the distant
Past, she can hear his gentle voice
Calling out to her, telling her,
“No matter when
Or where the tides may kick and pull or
Attempt to shatter your soul, take heed.
No tears shall mingle with the silver beads
of that which has caused your estrangement,
The sea shall not harm you as long as
this gale still blows.”
From the shoreline over yonder
Where the coastline sparkles of golden sand,
She can picture him standing,
His eyes geared towards her like a hawk
In search of prey,
He, in search of his long lost love
rSomewhere there beyond the sea
Stretching out across
The corners of the universe,
Maybe one day,
Two different worlds can be together.
